First off, welcome to 2021 folks! But also, am I a broken record at this point saying, “hey, I’m back again…”? Whatever, it’s fine. I think we ALL get a pass with how 2020 went.

It’s a few days into January and not much has really changed. Except the calendar year. And my want to get back into the swing of things. Which basically means getting back into crafting/making… just finding my creative again.
With that being said (because I could totally go into why the hell I’ve been gone so long, but let’s not), let’s just get back to concentrating on spookifying (totally a word) all our holidays for 2021. Because even with the world on fire, we can still make it aesthetically pleasing, right? I joke, don’t @ me.
Anyway… next up for holidays after Creepmas season is obviously, VALOWEEN.

If you’re not sure what Valoween is, it’s just an anti-valentine slash “second” Halloween for us odd ones. Any excuse to decorate right? I have a whole category dedicated to it (which you can check out HERE) and I’m happy to add to it. This post was my favorite little gift guide from last year and I’ll definitely be updating one for 2021. I also made some cute ass garlands… which shouldn’t be a surprise.
This year, I still wanted to “make” things for Valoween, but I also want to thrift items to transform into more permanent holiday decor to pull out every year. And I mean, being fairly frugal with craft supplies per usual.
However, I’ve been guilty of creating things only to toss it in the end because I wasn’t sure it’d last being put away/through moves or over time. Maybe I just need to be more careful instead of careless about storing things… but that’s something personal to work out. Ha.

Since I’m already in the Valoween mindset… I stitched this little love from NightSpiritStudio (one of my top favorite cross stitch designers) and paraded it around with the one banner that survived from last year. (Good job me.)
I’ve also seen quite a bit of Valentine decor popping up in Target, and craft supplies at the Dollar Tree. Everything but the fabric in the photo below was from DT and I’m excited to see what else comes out, as they weren’t very stocked yet. But anyway, my head spins to painting everything black and adding bats, as one does… so, I’m excited to continue to shop for things mindfully this year, with that idea of re-vamping.

As always though, I’ll be sharing a couple easy DIYS, small shop gift lists and doing a blog round-up from some other creators. So please, check back or follow me on Instagram for updates!
